Glossop Cricket Club

Fundraising

Glossop Cricket Club, a vital part of our community, relies on fundraising to thrive. From youth development to facility upkeep, your support is crucial.

Keeping the club going takes more than just players. This page is all about how we raise money to keep the pitches looking good, get the kids playing, and keep the club buzzing.

Glossop Cricket Club – Last Man Standing

£10 entry per round | Record prize fund: nearly £2,000!

Think you know your football? Put your knowledge to the test and support Glossop Cricket Club while you're at it!

 How it Works:

  • You pay £10 to enter.
  • Each week, you simply pick one team from the English Premier League that you think will win their game.
  • If your team wins, you're through to the next round.
  • If your team draws or loses, you're out.
  • You can’t pick the same team twice in the competition.
  • The game continues until there’s only one person left standing — they’re crowned the winner!

 Prize Fund:

  • The winner takes 65% of the total pot.
  • The remaining 35% goes to support Glossop Cricket Club.
  • Our record prize fund reached nearly £2,000 – so there’s plenty to play for!

Sometimes… nobody wins!

If
all remaining players are knocked out in the same round, there’s no winner — so the competition rolls over.

Here’s how it works:

  • Everyone who was still in the game at the start of that round gets a second chance — but they must pay another £10 to re-enter the next round.
  • This builds the prize pot, making the stakes even higher!
  • New players can join during a rollover too — but they must pay £20 to enter (since they missed the first round).

The prize pot continues to grow with each rollover. That’s how we've had prize funds close to £2,000 — and why it’s always worth getting involved!

Glossop Cricket Club – Bonus Ball Draw

Support the club and be in with a chance to win every Saturday!

 How it Works:

  • There are 59 numbers (1–59), based on the National Lottery Bonus Ball from the Saturday draw.
  • If your number matches the Bonus Ball, you win!
  • Only one winner each week — so if your number comes up, it’s all yours.

 Entry Options:

  • £5 per month (standing order)
  • £15 per quarter (standing order)
  • Or £60 one-off for the full year

That’s just over £1 a week to back your club and stay in the mix for weekly prizes.

 Prize Money:

  • £50 to the Bonus Ball winner on the first Saturday of each month
  • £30 prize for all other Saturdays

The rest of the funds go to support Glossop Cricket Club — helping with equipment, facilities, and the future of the club.
