A Night of Footballing Tales with Peter Reid at Glossop Cricket Club!
Get ready for a fantastic evening of sporting stories, delicious food, and unmissable memorabilia at Glossop Cricket Club on Friday, March 7th, 2025. We're thrilled to announce that we'll be hosting a Sportsman's Dinner with very special guest, the one and only Peter Reid!
A true legend of the game, Peter Reid has enjoyed a remarkable career as both a player and a manager. From his tough-tackling midfield displays for Everton and England to his managerial spells at clubs like Manchester City, Sunderland, and Leeds United, "Reidy" has a wealth of experience and anecdotes to share.
Join us for what promises to be a memorable night as Peter recounts tales from his time in the beautiful game. Expect insightful commentary, hilarious stories, and maybe even a few controversial opinions – all delivered with Peter's trademark wit and charm.

Whether you're a seasoned pro or just enjoy a leisurely round, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a day of golf, good company, and support your local cricket club. Gather your team of four and get ready for a day of friendly competition on the greens. Here's the lowdown: Date: Friday, August 1st, 2025 Location: Glossop Golf Club Format: Teams of 4 Cost: £200 per team The Schedule for the Day: 11:00 AM: Arrive at Glossop Golf Club for a warm welcome and refreshments to get you ready for the course. 11:30 AM: Get set for a thrilling shotgun start! Following the round, join us for the all-important presentation of prizes, followed by a delicious fish and chip dinner and the chance to relax and enjoy some drinks with fellow participants. Glossop Cricket Club is delighted to announce the dates for AllStars and Dynamos cricket in 2025. AllStars cricket provides a fantastic first experience for all children aged 5-8 where they're guaranteed 8 weeks of jam-packed fun, activity, and skills development. The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport, teaching them new skills, helping them make friends and have a great time doing so. Every child that registers will receive a personalised t-shirt, bat, ball, and backpack. GCC Walk Harry Hut SAT 1 MAR | 11am The walk is open to EVERYONE. Juniors, seniors, partners, family, friends, dogs etc. The more the merrier, all are welcome. It’s a good chance to get out in the open, catch up, keep fit etc. The walk will begin at 11am, starting from Glossop CC. Breakfast barms, teas and coffees from 10am. Upon return the bar will be open and we will put some hot food on. Suitable walking boots, clothing and equipment recommended
